"Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed
You." So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is
no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or
wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, "who shall not
receive a hundredfold now in this time--houses and brothers and sisters
and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions--and in the age to
come, eternal life." Mark 10:28-30 NKJV
Shortly after they were married, Steve and Gwendolyn served in their local church as musicians. This turned into a traveling ministry in the United States after they felt like God was calling them to preach the good news to even more people. Then, in 1978, they had a sale to downsize and headed to South America to share the love of Jesus.
With passion in their hearts, they practiced their Spanish and arrived as servants, seeking to bless South America with tangible and spiritual acts of kindness. They loved their neighbors and encouraged people in their faith, also sharing the love of Jesus with those who hadn't known of God's love for them.
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!" Romans 10:14-15 NKJV
Steven and Gwendolyn's "beautiful feet" brought good news to many cities in South America, Central America, and North America. Have you heard of God's love for you? You can know the One Who created you and planned your uniqueness before you were born. You can know the One Who gave His life to pay for your sin. You can know the One Who loved you while you were helpless, and calls your name now with plans and dreams you know nothing of. Dreams that are beyond your wildest imagination. Dreams of your destiny. Will you surrender to Him?
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have [it] more abundantly." -Jesus
John 10:10 NKJV
The roots of revival are surrender....surrendering to God's love and destiny for you.
